COVID-19 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE CLINICS IN THE ESCREEN™ NETWORK MINIMIZING THE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19?

Clinics in eScreen’s network are being advised to take precautions to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 to donors and patients and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and other healthcare authorities.

These precautions include, for example, screening donors over the phone or in-person to detect potential COVID-19 cases and implementing enhanced cleaning protocols at their facilities.

DO CLINICS IN ESCREEN’S NETWORK TEST FOR COVID-19?

eScreen does not perform or arrange diagnostic testing for COVID-19. Clinics in eScreen’s network may perform or arrange diagnostic testing for COVID-19 as well as additional services that are separate from the drug testing and occupational health services those clinics provide for eScreen. eScreen does not track the availability of these services, including COVID-19 diagnostic testing.

WHAT DOES ESCREEN DO IF A CLINIC IN ITS NETWORK IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES DUE TO COVID-19-RELATED CONCERNS?

eScreen continuously updates its roster of clinics available to provide services to you in our scheduling tool based on information those clinics share with eScreen. If a clinic informs eScreen that it is not available to perform a particular service, then eScreen will update its scheduling tool by removing that clinic from the roster of clinics available to perform that service.

Before sending the donor to the clinic you selected, we recommend that you call the clinic to confirm that it will perform the test or service you ordered at the desired time.
