DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT) 10 STEPS TO COLLECTION SITE SECURITY AND INTEGRITY

Office of Drug & Alcohol Policy & Compliance (ODAPC) is pleased to announce the release of the DOT 10 Steps to Collection Site Security and Integrity video. This video can be viewed and/or downloaded at www.dot.gov/ost/dapc/video.html. As a result of DOT's concerns about the collection process, they are taking some important steps to show collectors and collection site managers how to increase the security and integrity of collection procedures and collection sites.

This video goes over essential elements that will make your collections suitable for DOT drug testing. DOT wants collectors and others to fully understand their important roles in making sure that transportation employees do not have an opportunity to beat their DOT drug tests. DOT would like you to consider using this video as part of your training efforts. You may also email the video link to DOT regulated employers and to collection sites which perform DOT collections. The video is a companion to the DOT's 10 Steps to Collection Site Security and Integrity poster [pdf 47KB].
