eScreen Merger with Pembrooke Valued at $27M
FROM DOWJONES.COM - The stock combination of eScreen, Inc. with a competing employment screening company was valued at $26.9 million, the company told VentureWire.
Venture-backed eScreen Inc. announced earlier this month that it had entered into an agreement to merge with privately held Pembrooke Occupational Health Inc. to expand the reach of the companies' employment screening services.
The transaction included a stock purchase with shares of eScreen, President and Chief Executive Robert Thompson said. The value of those shares was reflected in a Jan. 14 regulatory filing by eScreen, which showed $26.9 million, he said, while the transaction would best be considered a merger...View entire article.
